A Buyer's Agent is a licensed real estate agent who has been specifically retained by a Buyer to represent that Buyer in a real estate transaction.  It is very similar to the Listing Agreement between brokers and sellers (often referred to as seller agency), in that it provides the Buyer with the same exclusive representation in a real estate transaction that Sellers have enjoyed for years.  The real estate licensee, upon entering into a written agreement with a Buyer, agrees to work solely for the buyer, and, in return, the buyer agrees to exclusive representation.
